Some Random Things about Maddy and Wyatt

Just a few things...
Maddy loves chapstick or lipstick and she calls it "whisket."
She also always asks to watch a "weevie" in the car (movie).
She also has started saying all the time, "That's Wyatt, he's my brudder." (brother)
Wyatt loves to say "off" for when he turns off the lights or turns off his humidifier.
He wants to be acknowledged in what he does, if he is playing with the girls he comes to find me and goes "uh-uh-uh" until I say, "Hi Wyatt, are you playing with your sisters?" Then he vigorously shakes his head yes and runs off back to play.
He tries to repeat a lot of words now, but his favorite is still ball and he loves cats just like his sisters. He even crawls around saying, "meow, meow."
Maddy wears a size 5/6 shoe just depending and Wyatt wears a 6/7, so he now has bigger feet than his sister.
More and more people are asking me if they are twins. I wonder when he will pass Maddy up in height, he still hasn't yet. But last time we weighed them he weighed a good 3 pounds more than her.

The Girls First Dance Recital!!!!

Well, I guess you can tell from all the pictures that we were all WAY excited about this night! The girls had a rehearsal the night before, which really got them all jazzed up about it and they couldn't wait to show off their stuff! Grandma and Grandpa were able to make it, but otherwise it was a busy night for everyone else the girls had wanted to come, maybe next time!

Hannah's class had a little part in the Nutcracker portion of the performance so I took her out so she could go backstage and get ready to go on. Some of the other girls were running down the hall to go backstage so I sent her to follow them, figuring she would be just fine. Well, I can see them going onstage and I notice that Hannah isn't out there in her formation and I start to panic, oh crap! What have I done. The music starts and she still isn't there and I am panicking about to run back there and find out where she is when she and and a little friend run on and hurry into their spots! Oh man! I went backstage at intermission to ask what happened and she totally blamed it on me, that I had told her to go to her dressing room and that is where she had gone and then heard her music and so ran onto the stage! I felt horrible, good thing she doesn't hold a grudge. She decided she wanted to stay backstage with her friends in her class so she didn't miss any of her next performance! I guess lesson learned there. Her next dance went off without a hitch and she did great!! Her group is Express and they danced to Christmas Shoes.

Megs was so cute doing her little dance, you could see her trying to remember and get in the right spots and do the right moves! Her group is the Superstars and she danced to Polar Express. They both had Alexis Levie as their teacher at Front and Center Dance Academy.

I couldn't believe how the girls faces just were shining as they were out there performing, no jitters, no shyness, just pure FUN! They loved every second of it, getting all dolled up with fancy hair and mommy's make-up, and dressed like ballerinas, they just couldn't get enough. Rob was pleasantly surprised, he has been questioning me on this whole dance thing, but I think he was convinced when he saw what they had learned and saw how much they really do enjoy it. I had so much fun too, I was totally wishing that I had put Maddy in the Tiny Tots class, oh man would that have been cute!

New Year Resolutions

My family was always big on new year resolutions, whereas Rob's family I guess wasn't because he sure isn't big on doing them. But, I decided to do a little family night lession on making some new year resolutions. We made some goals as a family, family prayer and scripture reading, helping each other out more, speaking kindly, being polite, all things to make our home a happier place this year. Mommy (me) said I would stop yelling, already broke that resolution, but I am trying and Daddy said he would drink less Dr. Pepper, which also has yet to happen! I choose not to share Rob's other resolutions..... Megan's resolution was to cry less and Hannah's were to be more cheerful (I suggested that one), clean up in the mornings, no fighting, pray, math, and reading. I like being able to start the year out trying to be better and want to show my kids that we can always be working to improve ourselves. I think I need the most improvement honestly and I am hoping this will be a great year for that!

Also, new for this year, Hannah's first grounding for throwing a huge fit when she had friends over. Oh wonderful....
