We headed up Spanish Fork Canyon to go camping with Jas and Bon and the kids for one night. Camping for one night is so much work, but it was so fun! The only problem was all the potty drama-Hannah refused to pee outside like everyone does when you go camping, we had to drive and use some other people's portable toilet....it was interesting! Maddy and Megan were troopers and had a little fun with peeing outside...its not so bad after all.
Anyway, we made tinfoil dinners and cooked those up, they were delicious! We also had smores, of course. The kids had so much fun collecting firewood and playing on the big rocks. They were all asking to go to bed, they were excited to be in the tent, but they had some trouble falling asleep. I had to take Wyatt out of the tent for the girls to fall asleep.
We had pancakes, bacon, and eggs for breakfast and then packed up and went home. It was short, but sweet, and so much fun!
Hannah started first grade this year and on top of starting to go all day she also switched schools. She got into Reagan Academy, a charter school right down the street, and we decided to switch her over there. Luckily, her cousin Logan, her best friend, is in her class this year! We had some tears the morning of her first day, some I don't want to leave you mom, I will miss you mom, which made my heart sad, but she made it there and has been having so much fun! The first week I had to walk her into class every day, but the start of the second week she started letting me drop her off and she walks into the school alone. Shes just is growing up to fast...slow down Hannah Bug!
