New Year's Eve 2012

We had a fun time celebrating at home this year.  Nathaniel and Hilary came over, as well as Jason and the kids.  The kids played the Disney Dance game forever and also a sports game on the Kinect.  Jason and Rob also boxed and Jason and I had a dance off (which I won) and we did puzzles and card games and the younger kids played play-doh.  And then the big men played Halo for a while too.  Everyone left right before midnight, well Than and Hilary stayed the night, but we went upstairs about 10 minutes to 12 and counted down with the older two girls in their room since Maddy and Wyatt had gone to bed about 10 p.m.  Happy New Year!  I hope 2013 is a great one for our family.  

Dinosaur Museum

We decided we might as well use our pass right away so we went to the Dinosaur Museum the day after Christmas.  It wasn't very busy and I always love going places when Rob can come along, it makes my job so much easier.  Wyatt even picked out his T-Rex shirt to wear that day since we were going, Rob and I both thought that was so cute.  The kids were serious about trying to uncover that whole dinosaur in the fossil pits.

Christmas Day 2012

Christmas Day-The kids sure were excited as all kids should be and they were very good children who didn't wake us up too early.  Hannah and Megan came and snuggled in bed with us until the younger two woke up and then we headed down around 7:30 or 8:00 a.m..  About 10 minutes later we decided we better get Hadley up too so Rob went and woke her up and brought her down for the fun.  Santa brought the kids just what they asked for and we had a lot of fun playing with their new toys.  Around 1 p.m. we headed up to Grandma and Grandpa's house where we did all of our exchange gifts.  The kids were sure spoiled and got some great things, and the thing I am most excited about is Grandma and Grandpa gave us a membership to Thanksgiving Point (at my request).  The kids will love it and so will I.  The kids played and played, we ate some yummy food, and played some games.  When it was all said and done it was a great day spent with family (but we sure missed those we didn't get to see) and we had a wonderful Christmas.  We have been truly blessed and I am so grateful for my wonderful family and my sweet kids who among all the gifts still remembered the true meaning of Christmas, our Savior's birth.
