Megan's Preschool Graduation

Megan and Eli- Megan said Eli wants to marry her. She told him she could marry him when she was 27 (per Daddy's instruction). Wouldn't that be funny if it ended up to be true?? He is a cute little guy and they sure love being friends!

Sweet, sweet Megan! She just loved her preschool and loved her teacher and all of her friends! I almost didn't send her this year because she still has one more year before kindergarten, but I am so glad I did, she absolutely loved it and learned so much! Her best friend Rylinn was in her class and she made great new friends, Owen, Eli, GiGi, Chantelle, and Gage. Her graduation was so cute, they sang some really cute songs and her teacher had made a collage video of the whole year that we all watched. Megan got the Curious George award because her teacher says she is so curious about everything and is always asking questions. Honestly I feel like she is ready for kindergarten in the fall, but I am sure she will love having one more year of preschool. She will just be extra ready next fall! We just love our Megs, she is such a sweetheart and she has the cutest smile and the sweetest hugs. Congrats Miss Megan. We love you!!

Hannah's Kindergarten Graduation

I can't believe that Hannah is done with Kindergarten and will be going to first grade in the fall...holy cow!! She had her kindergarten graduation the day after her birthday, so it was quite the busy week for us! The kindergarten classes put on a program where they sang all these cute songs and they each had a little speaking part, Hannah's class all said their part in Spanish, which is so cute. They even read each of the kids names as they walked up onto the platform and waved to the audience. The funniest thing though was when they first came out onto the stage you could tell Hannah's cap was too low on her forehead and it was driving her crazy! Her eyes were watering and she kept fidgeting with it, but didn't dare take it off I am sure! It adjusted after a few minutes and she was able to stop messing with it, but it was just so typical Hannah because she is so picky about anything she wears, and I know it must have been driving her crazy!! Hannah loved Mrs. Arroyo's class. She is such a hard worker and never was off task. Mrs. Arroyo would always tell me what a pleasure she was to have in class and how quiet she was, which we forget sometimes because that is not how Hannah is at home. Her reading has improved so much from the beginning of the year and she can read very well and quite independently. I also can't believe how many spanish words she has learned. She just LOVES school and I know she will love going all year in the fall, but I will miss her! Congrats Hannah!! We love you!

Hannah is six. Amazing. I just love that girl to pieces! She is the best helper and such a hard worker. She looked forward to her birthday, as all kids do, and has been counting down forever!! When the big day arrived she was so excited to take treats to her school class, and her dance class, and was SO, SO excited for her birthday party this year (that will be a separate post). She had school and dance that day as normal and had decided she wanted to go to Texas Roadhouse for dinner, I guess Rob and I talk a lot about how much we like it. Grandma and Grandpa were able to meet us for dinner and she loved having them there too! She was a good sport about climbing up on the saddle as they sang happy birthday to her, even though you can see in her face she was a little nervous! Hannah loves everything about getting older. She loves independence, little things like riding her bike around the block by herself or walking to her friends' house, making her own breakfast, going to work with Dad to earn her own money, using the phone to call Dad or Grandma. She can be a challenge to me because she has such an opinion of how things should be, but I am learning on how to deal with that better and we get along pretty well for the most part. I am just so grateful for my Hannah Bug, we just love her so much and love having her in our family. Happy Birthday sweet girl!!

Rach, Greg, and the kids are in Utah for a while this summer and we got together at the park in Sandy, which by the way is the windiest park I have ever been too! Besides the wind, it was a lot of fun! The kids had a blast seeing each other again and playing like crazy! I can't believe how big my neices and nephews have gotten and I loved meeting baby Atlas, he is such a sweetie!

**Hannah won a school shirt that luckily was big enough to fit me so she insisted that I wear it so we could be twins! Wyatt's shirt happened to match that day too! :)

I am officially the Maid.

I was vacuuming the downstairs when Hannah came down to inform me that my services were needed to vacuum room #15 (AKA Maddy's room, we all have a number on our doors, Rob and I are room 10,000). I was to come at 7:06 to vacuum. So, I knocked on the door at 7:06 and she welcomed me in. All the kids watched me from the bed, so I wouldn't vacuum their little toesies, and when I was finished Hannah paid me $5 dollars in her pretend money and thanked me for my services. If only the money was real. Lovely!

Also, something to remember, don't tell Wyatt to put anything away in the bathroom, he thinks that means throw it in the toilet! First his toothbrush, then the toothpaste, and finally his towel after he took a bath today. Maddy found the towel first and pulled it out onto the floor for me...more laundry..yay!

May Dance Recital!

The girls had their spring recital on May 11, 2011. They loved it and they both did so well. This time Hannah's class did a tap routine and she was really good! There was one part of Meg's dance she said she didn't know, but you could barely notice it, she had the rest of the dance down! Cute little girls! Rob picked up some flowers to give to them after the recital and they proudly displayed them in a vase on the table, they felt pretty special! We sure loved the studio and their teacher, Alexis. She is so great with the kids. Megs is wanting to stay in dance and Hannah says she wants to do gymnastics now, but I guess we will see in the fall what really happens. The girls think Maddy should joint the Tiny Tots class...I guess we'll see about that too!

Mother's Day 2011

This was too sweet....after everyone left and it quieted down at Great Grandma's house Maddy climbed right up for a little cuddle!


Mother's Day was wonderful! Rob made breakfast and the girls helped, of course. They let me sleep in a little and made me sweet little cards. We had dinner at some friend's house, Bryce and Nicole, who hosted the whole Clayton clan and then we headed up to Great Grandma's house to see her. Her house was packed with all sorts of uncles, aunts, and cousins. The kids enjoyed popsicles and gummy bears galore!!

As hard as being a mother is I wouldn't change it for the world. I love my kids and I love being home with them even with all of the challenges that come with that. They give me the greatest joy and also the greatest frustration and I learn so much from them. I work each day to try and be a better mom than I was the day before, I have so many things to work on. But, I hope my kids know that I love them more than anything and would do anything for them. I am just so greatful to be blessed with four amazing kids and an amazing husband, I couldn't do it without him!

Family Party For Hannah

Rob's family came over for dinner to celebrate Hannah's birthday. She got some great presents and had some yummy cupcakes. Daryl and Candace even had the whole clan over to roast marshmallows and have smores at their house, they are so sweet. They had told the girls the night before we would roast marshmallows the next day and we had forgotten everyone would be there, but they didn't care, everyone went on over and had some yummy smores.

Hannah's 6th Birthday Party

Hannah's birthday party was a huge success! She had so much fun and it was totally worth all the stress it caused me (I am not good at party planning). Hannah wanted a 'farm' theme, but it ended up just being a pony party pretty much. My awesome friend Carli, who I met through my work, drove all the way down from Layton with her pony Adi so that Hannah could have pony rides at her party. Thank you Carli, you sure made Hannah's year! We also decorated bandanas and the kids played pony tag, whoever was it rode the pony as they chased everyone to try and tag someone. The kids also played Red Rover, which is seriously the funnest game, and we also had a pinata (which reminds me I need a new broom, my broom handle got a little bent out of shape:)). We had cake and ice cream and then opened presents. I hope the girls all had fun, I know Hannah had a blast!
