This is the first time we have ever used our crib as a toddler bed. Wyatt is so excited to be in a bed and he loves it! He is very good about not getting out when it is nap time or bed time. That is one of the reasons we put him in a bed already, our kids have all transitioned so well about this age, between 18 months and 2 years. The girls were so excited for him too and they all wanted to try it out. Wyatt is already so possessive, "no, mine!"
