Hannah's Broken Arm

And this is how we spent the rest of Wyatt's birthday.....

While up at Dairy Keen she was playing on the train table out front with all her cousins and she and Summer fell off onto the sidewalk. They were both hurt, but Hannah was freaking out pretty bad and told me she thought she broke her arm. Well, she was right. She layed on the grass and cried for a while and then we loaded her up to go home and we were pretty sure we'd be taking her into the InstaCare once we got there. We were right, she wouldn't move or let anyone touch her arm so we headed in to the doctor. (Thanks Annie and Duncan for staying with the other kids).
As you can see, Hannah was terrified.

She was so worried about the x-ray, so I took a picture to show her that is all it would be. I still had to push her in the x-ray room and stay in there with her.

Look at me, almost a doctor. :) Getting Hannah's splint on.

And the sling.

All done. She had a buckle fracture of both the radius and ulna at the end of the bones near her wrist.

Friday, October 21, picked out a bright pink cast and such a happier girl to have the splint off. It had been wrapped too tight and gave her a lot of pain and discomfort. She didn't sleep through the night that whole week with the sling and took medicine almost every day for the pain, but now everything is so much better with the cast on.
