Oh My, She's FIVE!

At Outback!

After what seemed like forever (well just for Hannah, it has gone by way too fast for me) her birthday finally arrived and she turned 5!! She could not have been more excited, she told everyone we saw that there are 10, 9, 8, et cetera days until her birthday and then she would be five! Now she tells everyone, I'm five!

We started out celebrations on Sunday by having the Clayton Family party. We combined her birthday party with Logan's party since they are only 3 weeks apart. We had a BBQ at our house and it was a lot of fun! Hannah got a pair of rollerblades from grandma and grandpa, it is what she asked for, though I think it will take her a while to learn to ride them!

On Monday she got to take the treat for school, of course cupcakes, to celebrate her birthday and she was the Princess for the Day!

On her birthday on Tuesday we went to Kangaroo Zoo, an indoor play place because it was raining and yucky outside. She told me, "Mom, it is supposed to be sunny on my birthday." Sorry Hannah! Then we went to lunch at Chick-fil-A and played at the Treehouse at the mall for a while. That night when Daddy got home from work we went to Hannah's favorite restaurant, Outback Steakhouse, and she had steak, her favorite, for dinner! She takes after me that way, steak is my favorite!

On Thursday Hannah had her Kindergarten checkup at the doctor, she had to get FIVE shots, it must be the magic number, and other than that had a fun experience at the doctor showing him and telling him all the big things she can do! She is awesome! She weighed 39.5 pounds and was 44 inches tall, 51% for weight and 80% for height.

My Top 5 Favorite things about Hannah:

-Hannah loves to ask questions and is constantly questioning why things work the way they do. One of my all time favorites was watching her move her arms and legs and then asking, how am I doing this? We then got out an anatomy book I had and looked over it explaining our brain, muscles, skeleton et cetera! Maybe she will be a doctor!

-Hannah is kind. She looks out for other people and helps me out a lot. She has a kind heart and generally wants to be good and make sure other people are doing what they should be!

-Hannah loves to learn! She loves to practice writing her letters, writing words, reading, riding her bike, now her rollerblades, and help Daddy out WHENEVER possible! She is trying to learn 24/7 and she learns by doing, which can be a challenge for me to always be willing to let her do it herself.

-Hannah loves to be social. Hannah was such a shy baby and shy toddler and now she loves people! She will talk to anyone, from a checker at the grocery store to any of her friend's moms! She loves playing with friends and is always willing to leave me for a good adventure, which is totally opposite of how she was as a baby!

-Hannah loves animals! She especially loves dogs, cats, and horses, but has a place in her heart for anything fluffy and cute!

Basically, Hannah LOVES life! She loves doing new things and being with people! She is adventurous and just amazing! We love you Hannah! Thank you for being our sweet, adorable, little girl!
