Christmas Day 2010

Totally out of order, but here are my sweet kids with their Great Grandma Shan and Grandpa Derk

Christmas Morning!

We were calling Megan Punky Brewster with her styling skirt and twinkle toe shoes!

Christmas morning we could hear the kids stirring around 6:30 a.m., but they didn't come in to get us until about 7:00. Rob headed down to get the cameras ready so to distract the kids we made their beds and brushed their teeth. When Rob said they word we headed down, had to take a picture on the stairs, and then let them into the living room. They were so excited! Megs was screaming with excitement! They dug through their stockings to find what treasures were in there and then checked out what Santa had brought. Wyatt went straight for his fire truck and Maddy went straight for the kitchen. We then opened up presents and I loved how they were so excited to give presents as much as to open their own. My favorite gifts were all of them, the picture of Christ for our home, since until now we have not had one (sad right?) and my motherhood necklace that Rob got for me, the necklace the girls picked out for me, and my new office chair! It was a great year for all of us! Hannah loved her kitty and her jamba maker, Megs loved her scooter and her skecher twinkle toe shoes, Maddy loved her puzzles and the kitchen (which was for all of them), and Wy loved his fire truck.

After we had breakfast of red and green pancakes and all got showered and ready we headed to Mark and Kathy's house for some lunch and another round of presents. It is so crazy and so fun with all the kids! We got some great things, Megs was especially thrilled to get her unicorn pillow pet that she has wanting "for years" she said and I got a Chi, which I am so thrilled with! After hanging out for a while we headed out to Great Grandma and Grandpa Christensen's house for a visit. It was so great to see them, my kids just adore them and all of their NINE dogs! Megs of course ended up on Grandma's lap and you could tell Grandma couldn't get enough of her, she just kept squeezing her and kissing her cheeks.

We had such a wonderful Christmas, wonderful time spent with family and many great memories created. I especially love teaching my children about Jesus's birth and the real reason for the season.
