Megan turns 6!

 Don't mind the way the Maddy and Wyatt are dressed, we are in survival mode around here and they dress themselves and I don't tell them to change.

 Megan picked to go miniature golfing as a family.  We went to Trafalga and the kids had so much fun, it was such a crack up watching them especially Maddy and Wyatt trying to putt.  They used the golf club like it was a broom trying to sweep the ball into the hole.  It was a lot of fun!

We went home for presents and cupcakes.  She was excited about what she got and she seemed to have a fun day.  She calls the doll her "American Girl doll" though it is not, it is from Target.  Quite a few girls in the neighborhood have real American Girl dolls, which is why Megan even knows what they are, but we are okay with the "fake" ones that are not near as expensive.  We did keep things really low key this year, we had so much going on.  Oh, and notice the hair do she has, she asks me to do her hair like that every single day and then put it in a ponytail...and everyday she comes home from school with the big ponytail out but the braid still in.
My top 6 favorite things about Megan are:
1.  She is so easy going, or at least compared to some kids (who won't be named).  She doesn't get easily flustered when things change or new things come into her life.
2.  She is kind-the type of sister who when mom is getting mad at someone else she steps in and whispers in their ear encouraging them to listen or offering to help (or do it for them) so they won't get into trouble anymore.
3.  She is social, a real social butterfly.  She makes friends anywhere with anyone, no matter where we go she walks away knowing the name of another little kid who she has met and wants to have a play date with.  She could be with friends all the time, she loves it.
4.  She is smart, oh so smart!  She picks up on things so easily and has LOVED school so much.  She has a great teacher and learning seems to come easily for her.  Her Dad always tells her she should skip kindergarten and go straight to 1st grade!
5.  She is a cuddler (I think all of our kids are) but she loves to be held and snuggled with, which I definitely don't do enough of, but when I do I sure love it!
6.  She just adores her little sister Hadley and I love to watch her hold her and listen to her talk to her and I swear Hadley gives Megan (and Daddy) the biggest smiles already!
We love you so much Megs, you are such a sweet girl and such a great part of our family!  Happy Birthday!!
